London Falcons FC are thrilled to announce a sponsorship deal with equality insurance specialist, Emerald Life.
The deal, which includes the purchase of a new home and away kit for the Falcons, was struck after a chance Twitter dialogue back in April. Following several productive conversations over the spring, two new kits have now been purchased, ready for the 2017/18 season.
Emerald Life was launched in the spring of 2016. Headed by Steve Wardlaw and Heidi McCormack (pictured above with Alex and Brady), their aim was to offer the LGBT equality in their everyday dealings with finance, health and retirement. Today, they offer a wide range of policies covering travel, home, life, wedding and pet insurance. You can view more details about Emerald Life on their website.
The Falcons Manager, Pete Ransom: "It's not been too much of a secret that we've needed to secure funding to continue functioning as a club for some time now. The sponsorship from Emerald Life achieves that in the short term. However, what we really wanted was a long term relationship that can benefit both parties and also push our common agenda of promoting equality in all aspects of life. Both Steve and Heidi have been incredibly enthusiastic about the opportunities we have to work together in the future and I'm really excited about some of the initiatives we have coming up."
New Chairman, Matt Hall: "Last season's title win was the result of a lot of hard work. Securing the enthusiastic support of a successful LGBT friendly company like Emerald Life, combined with new members actively stepping up and helping to run the club, are two giant steps further forward in our efforts to build a second team and compete in a mainstream league from 2018/19. I'm sure we are in for a great season and hopeful we can match and maybe even surpass what we've achieved in the last 12 months."
