London Falcons FC are pleased to announce the appointment of Pete Ransom as club manager for the 2016/17 season.
Pete has been with the Falcons for three years following four years with Village Manchester FC and has held several roles including LUL Captain and Club Treasurer. He takes over from both Kevin Latham and Ritchie Powell as the club combines the GFSN and LUL responsibilities into a single role.
A few words from the Falcons Chairman, Dean Martin on those stepping down: “Kev was a massive help last season and offered some great continuity as we started to rebuild the club. I’m gutted he didn’t get to finish off with a cup win but he’s got plenty of other medals to look back on with pride. Ritchie stepped into the LUL role a year ago when no one else put their hand up and he’s done a great job in very difficult circumstances. I’m pleased he’s going to remain on the committee to support me and Pete next year.”
And a few from the new boss, Pete: “I’m delighted and really excited to take on this challenge for the new season. There’s been a big turnover of players for three years but I’m determined to get this club moving forward. With the new guys we’ve seen coming down to training recently, I see no reason why we can’t get back to winning ways and we have a lot of exciting plans to take Falcons in a new direction over the next two years.”
Falcons are currently holding training sessions in preparation for the new season every Thursday evening at Kennington Park. All new players are welcome. For more information please email info@londonfalcons.co.uk
